The participation fee must be paid only after the student has been officially accepted into the festival. This allows you to apply with complete peace of mind and without any financial commitment upfront.

Will I receive a certificate of participation?

A: Yes. All participants will receive an official certificate confirming their attendance at the festival.

What levels is the festival aimed at?

A: The festival is aimed at intermediate and advanced music students who are interested in improving their technique, exploring specialized repertoire, and playing in professional-level ensembles.

What makes the Maiorica Music Festival special?

A: The Maiorica Music Festival offers a unique professional environment where students get the chance to work and perform alongside high-level musicians and teachers. Beyond musical training, the festival is designed to support the overall development of the musician through academic, artistic, and career-building activities. All of this takes place in the rich cultural and historical setting of Palma de Mallorca, surrounded by its heritage, landscapes, and natural environment, creating an artistic and personal experience that goes far beyond the classroom.

Do I need to study at a specific institution to apply?

A: No. Any musician with the appropriate training and level can apply, regardless of the institution where they study or have trained.

What is included in the festival registration?

A: Registration includes individual lessons, chamber music classes, participation in concerts, and access to all academic and training activities designed for the comprehensive and professional development of the musician.

How do I apply for the Maiorica Scholarship?

A: When you register for the festival, you automatically enter the selection process for the Maiorica Scholarship. During the festival, the submitted videos will be evaluated, and one representative per instrument will be selected to perform in a special student concert, where the scholarship winner will be chosen.

I paid my registration and won the Maiorica Scholarship. What happens?

A: Congratulations! If you receive the Maiorica Scholarship, you will get a full refund of the registration fee you paid. You will also receive a special certificate as an outstanding student of the festival edition, signed by the entire teaching staff, in recognition of your excellent performance and participation.

Does the festival include accommodation?

A: No. The festival does not include accommodation. However, to make participation easier, the festival team can advise and guide you in finding housing options that fit your needs.

Does the festival book or pay for accommodation?

A: No. The festival team only provides guidance. Booking and paying for accommodation is the responsibility of each participant.

What kind of help can I get if I need accommodation?

A: We can guide you in searching for and comparing prices of hotels, apartments, or residences nearby, providing reliable information so you can make the best decision based on your budget and preferences.

When should I book my accommodation in Mallorca?

A: Once the official participant lists are published and your acceptance is confirmed, we recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible. Mallorca is a high-demand tourist destination, and booking early helps secure better prices and availability. The festival team can assist you, but the final arrangements are up to each participant.

What is the deadline to register?

A: The deadline to submit your application is March 29. We recommend not waiting until the last moment so you can complete the process calmly.

When do I have to make the payment if I am accepted?

A: The payment deadline is two weeks after the acceptance results are announced. This gives you time to organize logistics and confirm your participation without pressure.

What happens if I can’t pay on time?

A: If you cannot pay the participation fee within the established deadline, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. That’s why it’s important to plan the payment in advance to secure your place in the festival.

Can I combine the festival with tourism or other activities outside of classes and concerts?

A: Yes. The festival schedule is designed so students can complete all academic and artistic activities while also having free time to enjoy and explore the island of Mallorca if they wish.

Is the festival responsible for students’ instruments or belongings in the festival areas?

A: The festival is not responsible for participants’ belongings. Each person must take care of their own items, both inside and outside the facilities.

Will we have a concert as students?

A: Absolutely yes! Students will have the opportunity to perform individually in a concert with repertoire chosen together with their teacher, and another concert with their assigned chamber group.
